Ahoy, TOG.
My wife found this place when looking for a gaming community that was oriented towards people like us: grown-ups - or something like it - with busy lives and responsibilities, but a strong passion for gaming. I'm not quite 25, yet, but I heard up the (
member-exclusive) grapevine that I just might be allowed in for being old and grumpy on the inside.
So: I'm 23, a new(ish) father, a full-time university student and a part-time application developer - still only minor success in that area, but time is a bit limited

I have 40+ games in my backlog/need-to-buy list, which I'm slowly trying to tackle. I'm a nostalgia-fueled retro game enthusiast, and my go-to PC game at the moment is Left 4 Dead (1 and 2).
I got to World 8 in Super Mario Bros. 3 when I was three years old with ... minor assistance, and my first game console was actually a GameBoy, followed shortly after by an NES. SNES is and always will be the best game platform ever made. Step aside, PS2.
I don't like MMOs. Guild Wars 2 may change that, but geez, why's everything gotta be like WoW?
That's about it. Thanks for reading!
