Tired
Talking Hi everyone

Hi there people,
While the sticky insists that I write an introductory post here I'm determined not to make it a chore, so here we go

Firstly I'll tell you all why I decided to join TOG

The other night I was online just relaxing from a rather gruelling week at job I started only recently. I'd been playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Counter Strike: Source throughout the day and decided to have a break an play some Alien Swarm (cause lets face it, it's kinda fun).

However, the first few servers I join contain random individuals that either really don't know what they're doing (not the kind that have only just started and are learning, the kind that seem to just ignore any advice you might have to do their own thing) or who lagged out or just left the game half way through. This happened to me a couple of times, but just when I was about to give up on the whole affair I ran into a server with 3 TOG members in it.

It was the most enjoyable gaming experience I've had playing with people online in a good long while, coming close to some of the experiences I've had with mates of mine at LANs. It was relaxed, we were all just playing the game, chatting with each other, and making fun of each other. All fun things. If someone wanted to go to the bathroom it was always 'sure, not a problem' and I could tell that that was just how it was.

That was the thing that finally made me go from 'yeah, this TOG group sounds like a good group' to 'I think I really want to become a part of that'

So yes, that's why I'm here now, as to some of the other suggested topics... my first Computer experience was an old atari, the one with the cartridges and the monochrome green screen. Joust was my game of choice. I then got given a NES, loved Mario Bros and Duck Hunt, and progressed to The Legend of Zelda. Then I got myself a PS1 and got lost in Final Fantasy VII, and also lost many an hour in the original Diablo on my old PC. Things just escalated from there

Currently I have a PS3, a Wii and my PC rig. Playing Battlefield: BC2 and Counter Strike: Source mostly, with Alien Swarm a close third atm. Aside from that I've been indulging in a real nostalgia kick, and have bough a bunch of games from GOG (Acanum, Fallout 2, Master of Orion, MAX), games that I used to own, have played on ROMs, and now love playing once more.

As a side note, I've also played Magic: the Gathering at one point in my life, dabbled at Warhammer (the war game, not the MMORPG, though I've played that too) and also currently play in and occasionally GM DnD 4.0 games

I think that's probably enough from me for the moment... I'll head off shortly to make sure my profile's set up how I like it. I should mention, I'm not the type to post often in forums, but I look forward to getting in touch with you guys and having a blast playing the games we love and just generally doing what we older games do.

Catch ya later

One thing I did forget, Australia is where I call home. So that's GMT +10... and generally I'm on in the evening... say between 4 and 10pm... and just about any time on the weekends

Hope that helps
