Hello ToG:
I ran across a ToG member once upon a time... I remember neither the member or the game we met in at the time but the ToG moniker and that player's mature attitude stuck which is how now, some time later, I am here
I game as often as work and life allow (sometimes more than either would prefer). I've done so ever since the first mezmerizing, "Whoa!" moment when my dad temporarily replaced our TV antenna with a small Pong console. (Remember when there was no cable, just antennas?). Next was the C64 and the trend goes on to current day where I enjoy making my own rigs. My poor wife should have run when, after marriage talks had begun, I spent $3k on a new gaming rig and not a ring! I eventually made good and suckered her into the deal after which I passed the disease to my 2 sons. They're 12 and 10 years old now but both more than capable of maxing their kill-meters on me if I'm dumb enough to try playing something like Black Ops with them.
In the last 10years, I've also gotten my sister into the gaming world. That started with cooperative gaming sessions over dial-up in the world of Diablo and Diablo II, then moved into UT2001. In the last several years I've gotten more into the MMO genre and have spent a great deal of time in Star Wars Galaxies, City of Heroes/Villains with brief stints elsewhere when i got bored. I'm currently beta testing DCUO and am eagerly awaiting the releases of Diablo III and SWTOR.
All games are more fun when you can play them in a group atmosphere. I like the concept of ToG for all the reasons stated in your FAQ and would enjoy being part of a group of similarly minded gamers. I hope you'll have me.
Cheers,
-Evolent
