[DONE] an introduction

Hello there,



Having read you manifesto (for want of a better), I would like to tender an application to join.



I've been gaming for some time now. My first console was a megadrive, I have very fond memories of Flashback & Altered Beast, to name a couple. After that I skipped a few consoles and went to the playstation and have stuck with them ever since. The first game I stayed up all night playing was Blood Omen: The Legacy of Kain. I think that series is one of my all time favorites.

At heart though, I am a PC gamer. I tend to go for RPGs and strategy, with a bit of action and FPS on the side. My first MMO was Eve, back when 10,000 players online at the same time was a big deal. I still go on occasionally, but it largely fell by the wayside when I started getting into WoW.



I used to play WoW quite a bit, but was put off about a year ago because of the increasing number of immature players who seemed to think being in an MMO gave them free license to be as unpleasant as possible.I'm 32, and think games should be fun and that the more skillful players should support their less skilled counterparts, rather than spamming 'noob' an other such degradations. I want to give WoW another go as Cataclysm looks fairly awesome. But I don't doubt that there are probably more immature players on there than ever before. I'm hoping that membership in ToG will counter balance that.



I am a casual gamer, I don't get to go online all that often due to work and other commitments. When I do get on, I try to be as friendly and helpful as possible, but there are times when I've had a bad day and all I want to do is kill some mobs. I'll apologies in advance if I'm not so talkative at those times, but am happy to say, they are few and far between.



I hope this application is successful and that there are many happy hours of gaming before us!
