Hi all! I use the screen name of Grenadyr and I mostly play on PS3 nowadays. The only style I'm currently playing with any regularity is racing games. In the past I've been an active FPS player on the computer but as yet haven't gotten the hang of them using a controller.

I want to join TOG because I'm old in the gaming world (almost 3 and still like to play games to relax. I don't feel the need to scream obscenities, racial slurs, or blast rap music while playing games and as such like to play with older gamers. I've only been a member of one gaming clan before and that clan died a natural death between interesting FPS's.

When I get a chance to play it's mostly racing games. I look longingly upon modern FPS offerings but as yet can't master using my thumbs enough to control all my actions and be even remotely competitive.

I forgot my gaming lineage.... (My favorite subject to bore strangers with)

My first console was a 2600 and my first memorable game was adventure. I spent a lot of time on that console trying to earn the patches you could send away for. I've had an NES, N64, Genesis w/cd, Dreamcast, Wii and PS3. My first computer was a Texas Instruments something or other that took cartridges and played on a TV. I've had an Atari 800 and progressed from a 10Mhz AT compatible up to my current quad core 64bit monster that was outdated 5 minutes after I built it. I loved Infocom and Sierra games at the beginning and progressed onto flight sims and fps's near the end. Who can forget the original Castle Wolfenstein on Apple and then Doom on IBM's? I play mostly PS3 games now because I got tired of updating my computer and its endless drivers to stay current. My current favorites are Burnout Paradise and PixelJunk Shooter. I'm currently working my way through NFS Hot Pursuit 2 and need to finish Split/Second.
