[DONE] Application for Membership

Hello, I just stumbled upon your website (actually I've been searching a long time for something just like this), and would like to formally apply for membership.

The games I would be interested in playing the most are Star Trek Online (been playing for 1 month), and I just bought Global Agenda and am looking forward to trying it as soon as it's downloaded. I play my games through Steam, and have a few FPS games on there like Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, HL2, and others. My wife also plays, and I'm hoping that she will sign up with TOG as well. We will try anything really, mostly we just want to make some friends instead of playing on our own all the time.

I live on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia, and am turning 40 this year. I have been playing games and fiddling with BASIC programming since I was about 10 years old when my dad brought home a TRS-80. So yeah, I'm old-school I guess. I could never get my hands on enough 20 cent coins to pump into the Space Invaders machines when I was a kid.

I would like to join TOG because well, I have asperger's syndrome and find it very difficult to meet people online. I'm afraid to team with strangers, and avoid younger players who think they know it all. I want to make some quality friends who are into trying different games. Because of the asperger's I tend to obsess over a game for a while, clocking up ridiculous numbers of hours (eg: it's 8am and i've been up all night .. again). Luckily I work my own hours as a Web Designer, so I can afford to be like that.

I've had many bad experiences with nasty, rude, elitist people online, and I'm hoping that this could be the group for me. Thanks for considering my application. I look forward to many hours of gaming fun.
