Hey everyone.

I was directed here by a person called McCullough via the Pirates of the Burning Sea forums. I posted there, looking for an RP Society and s/he sent me a PM pointing me to the Tortuga Oriental Guards. What I'm looking for is a friendly, RP-oriented Society without high school drama.

As for my gaming history, I've been playing forum RPGs since 1999. I've played D&D for years, and more recently started playing Dark Heresy/Deathwatch (Warhammer 40k P&P). For online gaming, I'd say it started with City of Heroes, back when we were all waiting for Issue 2 (capes and respecs) to come out. I've also played WoW (I want those 3 years of my life back), Champions Online, Hellgate London, Warhammer Online, Age of Conan, and a smattering of other MMOs, although to date, City of Heroes still has the best RP community that I've found. My wife and I run a very small, semi-private, RPG forum that has been going strong for about 9 years.

I'm glad McCullough directed me here, as I'm hoping that with a community more my age and above, there will be more like-minded players here and fewer trolls/griefers. I look forward to the chance to roleplay with you in Pirates!
