Hello all,

I am a 38 year old Dutch national, currently living in the Philippines. I have been playing computer and pen and paper games since my early teens. My first MMORPG was EQ, although i did meddle in some text only MUD's before. After that i've played or tried, DAoC, SWG, WoW, EVE, EQ2, Aion, AoC and probably a few more that i forgot. I am still playing LoTRo and sometimes EVE. WoT has also kept me busy a bit these past months.

Currently me and my wife are going to be playing RIFT, and were looking for a guild that would match well with us. The Older Gamers seems to be that guild. My wife is a 28 year old Philipina, and we have a 1.5 year old son. She started playing MMORPG's after we met about 6 years ago. She is currently also playing LoTRo and WoT.

My job does take me to sea and thus away from internet up to 3 months at a time, but i am a very active player when i am home. I am somewhat of a quest junkie, and like to see all a game has to offer. I like to play well, and try my best, but get put off by shouts of noob etc, when a mistake is made. I do like pvp, but not all the time. I always try to get a full set of crafters too, although i don't really play the AH. My wife is more into killing and fighting, as opposed to questing and crafting, enjoying the thrills of pvp and dungeons crawls. She does play a bit less then me, but likes to team up.

My wife and i would like to join the same guild obviously, so if I am accepted she will also register and apply. Hope to hear from you and to see you in game.

Welcome to TOG! We are all pretty psyched about Rift starting in a few hours and look forward to meeting you.
There are both Defiant and Guardian PVE factions starting on the server Wolfsbane, and the PVP folks are heading to Briarcliff as Guardians.
Make sure you set up Teamspeak 3 as we are pretty heavily into it, and we will see you in game!
