Hi I'm Mort (though that name is taken!)
I'm from the UK, 38 years old. Always been a gamer - starting out with some random TV Game, I think we're looking pre-Atari. I got an old black and white portable TV and this console for xmas - games were of the pong variety.
From there it roughly went - Commodore Vic20, c16, c64. Acorn Electron was the biggy - Elite primarily. Then some Amigas (sleepness nights playing Dune2000). I largely missed a 10 year chunk of gaming life while in the Army, but bought a shiny new Pentium PC when I came out, just to play Command and Conquer, Doom, Quake.
I was 'online' in 96, but first significant online gaming was Quake2 in 98/99. A variety of other bits and bobs, then Everquest and the beginning of years of MMO's, covering most of the biggies, but most signficantly Eve Online.
Today I play a whole range of games, as I always have done. I don't like one particular genre. I could probably single out strategy (RTS, turnbased) as a favourite. I play Eve, I play shooters, I enjoy simulators, and RPG's.
I'm here because, well, I kind of lack reliable online gaming companions - they've either given up, moved on, or just not interested enough for my levels of activity. There's some games I'd like to try online, some I know well but need to find like minded folk to play with.
I am married with 2 children, I'm an IT manager by profession.
My core gaming hours are most evenings GMT, with longer sessions some weekends.
That's it! Hope I can contribute to the community in some way.
