Why hullo there eh?
It be right darn cold up 'ere out on the lake out by old Robson's place and even my toque isn't keeping my ears warm on this here chesterfield. That's alright though eh 'cause I have a few beers and the 'ol ice fishin' hut has all the comforts of home... Okay, I don't actually talk like that but I am 100% pure-bred maple lead and proud of it!
"Who is this crazy nut?"
Well, glad you asked! I'm me! ...
Nah seriously though, first name's Mike and I'm a 27-years young Canadian out in the good old Rocky Mountains; that's GMT -7:00 for you clock-lovers. Calgary is the place, affectionately "Cow Town". No, there are no cows. But we do have the best Alberta "AAA" beef this side of Plaxton! (okay, Plaxton isn't real but my amigo El Cranium-dore tells me we're okay now and the nice people will come soon...he's crazy.)
Ye olde loony Penates dragged me over here; we happen to have been playing Eve Online together for... gawds, how long's it been Pen? Three years now? Anywho's...
"Well Mike, why are you here?"
Good question. Pen promised me there would be beer, pink tutus and nachos. Couldn't pass that up!

Of course, he also maybe might have possibly potentially mentioned something about a group of awesome people that like to chill and have fun, but I was busy cramming an RPG up a TOG member's tailpipe in BC2... or was it the other way around?
I'm a gamer at heart and happily taken by my lovely sweetie; we're not married (yet) and while she doesn't play herself, we have a nice working relationship where I can do "my thing" time to time, like now... at 04:00! Shh, don't tell ze missus!
It'd be cool to have some more fun with TOG'ers and non-TOG'ers alike in BC2; Pen will warn you in advance that I play a mean offense in Supreme Commander 2.

What's funny is I can remember playing games on a Commo-64 back at dad's old place; beige unit thing hooked right up to the TV. Good times that was... and who remembers owning the first 32-meg video card on your block eh? Who was king then!?!

Let's not forget the original Command and Conquer played via 14.4 modem...
In my "work hours" I am an IT Consultant under my own company; currently I'm doing help-desk-y stuff for a railway company; who knew running trains was so floopin' involved! Yeesh! This program and that program and this thing and that thing connected to this gizmo... The train is on a track. It goes forwards, and backwards.
As for why I'm here? I saved the best for last... and if I may quote <clears throat>:
"TOG is for gamers who are passionate about their hobby of PC games (particularly online multi-player games), but who want to escape or separate themselves from
the abusive, disruptive and disrespectful behavior, usually attributed to younger players, that is so often encountered when gaming online."
I am in love.
