Application to TOG
Howdy,
my name is Ben and I'm 27 years old, married, and father of one 3 month old bundle of joy. I live in Adelaide, SA, I do shift work, I love computer games and my wife hates that I love computer games. I have been gaming since Dig Dug burrowed his way across my dad's Amstrad laptop monitor, back when girls used to say i was cute (probably when i was 4 or 5 years old). I have played both PC and console extensively, with thousands of hours logged in AoE, GoldenEye, TimeSplitters, Halo and CS Source. I am eagerly awaiting BF3 and Red Orchestra 2. About 2 months ago, when my wife was asleep, I snuck out to the local MSY and got myself a new GPU, RAM and PSU. I slept on the couch for a week afterward, but it was worth it cos now I am able to play BFBC2. I also enjoy a bash at Company of Heroes, Killing Floor, Red Orchestra, L4D, TF2 and many others. I'm not the sort of gamer who can commit to a strict regime of prac and war, but I still enjoy the camaraderie of being part of a team. I also enjoy the company of mature people who understand that games are games and life is life, and, although games are fun, they aren't life. And also, being a little bit longer in the tooth isn't really a bad thing. Hopefully I can game a little bit with you in the near future. Cheers. |
