Greetings from the north (membership application included)
Hello people.
My name is Lars, I am from central Sweden.
Ever since x-mas 87, 4 years old, when opening the package to a small grey console I have been hooked. From there it went along the whole way with consoles.
Constatly batteling whether i liked mario och sonic the best.
(SNES, gamegear, gameboy, SNES, Megadrive, PSX, PSX II, Xbox, Xbox 360) and so fourth.
Along came the RPG gengre to my world in digital form, and as a complement to an already steady portion of D&D pen and paper rpg the video/pc gaming was the main portion of my spare time.
In late 97 the first PC came into my possesion and games like doom, duke, heretic, wolfenstein made my day.Eye of the beholder series, Elder scrolls, Quest for glory series.
This was shared among my friends and gamenights was frequent, as playing with friends both casual and competetive is often more fun.
Gaming was always a natural thing to do. Later even online.
Finaly life catched up, work, house, wife, kids! Priorities got patched!
now in Life 2.0 gaming tends to be different. But still loved.
This envolved from (with 19,2k modem dial up connection) playing god old command and conquer, into Americas army and Call of duty, as well as a lot of RTS.
Me and my friends got kids, (not with eachother) and instead of hangin out IRL (due to lack of time) we played online between washing clothes and burping kids!
Xbox live and pc-online, from worms to the latest FPS (console and pc)
Still the online community tends to get lonely trying to match up with your friends to play together (playing battlefield or halo is always more fun as a whole party not to mention MMORPG's and RTS)
Then my friend told me about TOG, and I really think that it's the way to go.
So I whould really appreciate a membership in the ranks of TOG.
I will do my best to contribute.
Other games that I play right now is World of warcraft (restarted to play because of a very persuading friend, and i really like it!)
Warhammer fantasy battles, (yes, the whole paint plastic models, and play war) Appreciate the hobby aspect of it and I am a sucker to the lore.
See you in cyberspace (does anyone really say that anymore?)
Over and out
