Well hello there!
Hello, hello, yes, please hold your applause 'til the end.
I've just been directed to TOG as a possible place to find like minded individuals that aren't complete prats when I'm playing games online. So far, things are looking good!
As for me, I'm 25, a secondary school teacher in Wagga Wagga, NSW. I teach computer tech (all 6 years) and am trying to push for an electronics subject at the school I work at.
I started playing games on my mates Atari and another friends Windows 3.1 box, but I have fond memories of something on my dads 386, involving a castle, a multitude of traps and two-word action commands.
I've got a bit of time to kill lately, so I've been playing Dwarf fortress, which has a lovely old-school feel to it, much like Nethack, which I gave up on a few years ago. Multiplayer wise, I've been playing Call of Duty 4, but the main reason I'd like to join is to find a guild that is apparently part of the TOG alliance for Guild Wars, especially an Australian one. I'm trying to collect enough Hall points for most of the rewards before GW2 makes it's way to stores (kind of glad for the delay now) and would like to work with like minded people to do it.
Well, I think that about sums me up for now, and I hope I've done everything, ticked all the boxes I have to and otherwise have naught standing in my way from proper membership!
