[DONE] An Application

Greetings all...

I'm an old friend of Zaora's, whose been amongst you for the past year now... I am her former Guild Leader from the original Everquest, as well as played some SWG with her, and now dabble into Guild Wars some..

She and I were recently a part of a rather small and insignificant GW Guild, which we both recently left, and she started telling me about you guys here.

Now I don't game as much as I used too... a little something called Real Life tends to get in the way more these days. But, I am 36 years old and when I do get the chance to log into Guild Wars, I would like to know that there is a Group such as yourselves, willing to assist me with some of the things I need help with when I ask for it... Otherwise, I have an old habit of wanting to "do it myself first" before concedeing to the fact that the task at hand is simply too difficult to complete alone!

I have a number of other Games I get into...

Battlefield 2: Bad Company
Call of Duty 4
Call of Duty: Modern War
Left 4 Dead 2
Crysis
Crysis: Warhead

...just to name a few. Though I've never done anything Online with any of them, I might at some point!

As for a little of my history...

Ok, the first computer game that I played, was Pac Man on my fathers old Atari 400... then when I reached 8 years old I pulled that Atari apart piece for piece, just to find out how it worked... suffice to say, it did not work after that! So Dad then came home with an Atari 800XL on the understanding that I was not allowed to pull it apart. We had pretty much all the classic games with it, Pac Man, Frogger, Dig Dug, many others... Eventually we added an external 5 1/4 disk drive to the machine and got into more complicated games with it...

Then came the IBM PC era and Dad's first 286 based system, then the 386 and 486DX2... then the Pentium's... and as the computers evolved,, as we all know so did the games... I found myself addicted to trying to design maps for the original Warcraft, and then Starcraft... eventually found myself hopelessly addicted to Diablo II (Oh so many wonderful PC mice were buried in those days...)

Then I discovered Everquest, and eventually got into Star Wars Galaxies, where I assisted a friend in the Management of her Guild/Group in EQ which Zaora was also a part of, eventually founded my own, then did the same within SWG for a while...

Though those only lasted so long as I was financially capable of continuing them.

Now, I no longer get into Subscription based games anymore...

I work for a small local PC OEM, and these days, build my own systems and deal with customer service for our company.

I have two PC's here at home... both Phenom II x4's which are both overclocked and one soon about to be put "under water" with a custom designed water cooling loop as soon as it arrives and I get the rest of its parts ordered...

I've read your FAQ's, and everything else required of applicants to read, and I suppose I am applying for Full Membership!
