Hello Everyone!
I am a 33 year old Software Engineer from Broken Arrow, OK that seems to have a penchant for getting addicted to massively multiplayer online games. Currently I am playing World of Warcraft, where I am in a raiding guild built up of some real life friends (we are 10/12 at the moment). Since we only raid two nights a week, my wife and I picked up Rift to for something to do together during the week.
As we were running around Meridian on the Wolfbane server we saw that The Older Gamers were on the server, and she immediately said "We need to look into that guild." After looking around the site it seems like you would be fine company in Rift and my wife and I, along with our good friend Mosespeach, decided to apply. My wife, Phayle, is a preschool teacher so she doesn't have the luxury of being able to app from work, so she will be posting later tonight!
The first real "gaming" machine I had was an
Atari ST where I played game on of my all time favorite games "Dungeon Master" and the first "multiplayer" computer game I can ever remember seeing, "Falcon", a flight sim that we played two player by connecting two STs with a null modem cable. I also ran a BBS and spent way too many nights playing 2nd Edition Dungeons and Dragons (Forgotten Realms, of course).
Ultimately what I am looking for in TOG is a group of people to mutually enjoy Rift. We were late to the show, so my current highest level toon is a 21 Rogue that I have speced as a Riftstalker. I really enjoy the way Riftstalker plays and together with my wife, who is playing a cleric, we are interested in finding DPS to run instances.
One last thing, the "Rgho" name is pronounced by my friends as "Ergo". My original WoW character was an undead warlock named Ohgr, and when I made a blood elf pally, as a joke I named it "Rgho" since it was the most opposite of an undead warlock I could imagine. Since the pally became my main and Rgho is unique enough that no one ever has it, it stuck and became the name most people know me by. I often make other toons as a play on the name with stuff like Rghonomic, or Errgo, etc.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, I look forward to playing Rift with you!
