Hello everyone.
The coffeeguy here. Was hoping I could ask some questions about TOG, membership and game playing in particular.
A little background on myself:

What games are you currently play/looking to play with TOG?
|
Right now, I am playing Rift and LoTRO (both my first MMO experiences).
Future games that are catching my interest (now that I am hooked on MMO's) are SWTOR and Guild Wars 2.

What was the first machine you played games on or pen and paper game you played?
|
That would be an Atari, one of the originals. First game played: Pong.

Why do you want to join TOG?

Being that Rift and LoTRO are my first MMO experiences, I have quickly learned that, even though you can solo some of the game, there are parts that you cannot solo. I am also discovering that that game is much more rich and enjoyable when you play with a group of friends. For example, was playing some Rift last night and there was a TON of invasions going on. Multiple rifts and invasions all over the map (Freemarch) and it was a blast. Even though I died quite a few times, still was fun, but it was evident that, working with a good party made things significantly easier.
I cruise the Rift forums quite a bit, and have been researching guilds, trying to find out more about them and if they would be a good fit for me. I was giddy when I found out that joining a guild in Rift (and I am guessing LoTRO as well), there all in game options (typing 'g' for example in Rift). That makes it even more appealing to me. More things to do and with friends.
Some of the things I am interested in doing in particular to Rift is: PvE, Raids (even though never done one) and would like to explore PvP. Was curious if TOG engages in PvP at all?
Just a few other items:
Since I am new to the MMO world, I find myself exploring all the time. Whether its new character and builds, the map, professions, quests etc., I wanted to make sure that I am not acting like a Rogue element if that makes sense. Just a lot of curiosity on my part as I explore and learn these games.
More about me. 35 year old male, married with a 3 year old and another one due this October. I definitely am not hardcore player, but I am competitive. I also enjoy playing games and getting the most out of them (for example, I dont race to reach 50 for example). Very easy going and laid back individual. But definitely would like to follow up with members of this guild and see if this would be a good fit for me. Be great to meet new people, make some friends and have some fun in multiple games.
On a side note, I am working on my mic and headphones setup. I did have a headphone and mic, but my 3 year old broke the tip of the headphone jack, so I am in limbo right now...hehe
I look forward to talking with others.
Much obliged.
Cheers,
