[DONE] Zyryna Membership Petition

Please consider the following application for Zyryna's admission to the Older Gamer's Defiant Rift guild on the Wolfsbane server.

While I am currently playing World of Warcraft [and yes, I have a few level 85's], I found that the Cataclysm content update really took something out of the game. The end content just seems to be too much of a grind and, while I do enjoy levelling alts, they only give you 10 slots per server and 50 characters over-all. I decided to try RIFT because I was looking for something new and RIFT has not disapointed. I'm looking to join TOG because I've heard good things from co-workers (friendly people on at every time of the day and night and a mature atmosphere so I likely won't have to put up with too much of a RIFT "barren's trade chat" equivalent) and, as a larger guild, I'll likely be more able to actually run dungeon content and the occasional warfront.

My gaming career started out with Advanced Dungeons and Dragons (second edition, I believe, though its been quite a few years...I still have the dice, though, and my books are in a box somewhere around the attic). Shortly after, I started playing turn-based BBS games and a few MUDs (on my Commodore Amiga; I had and still have a Commodore Amiga 500, 1000, and 2000, Commodore 64 and even a Commodore 128 -- I don't turn them on much, but I still have them). I still miss some of those games (Neuromancer, Pirates, and most especially Phantasie...sigh...I really need to fire up that Commodore 64...).

Unfortunately, Commodore's day came and went (though I must say that
http://finance.yahoo.com/family-home/article/112510/new-commodore-64-nyt looks rather intriguing) so I moved over to the PC and the Windows platform and ultimately turned my computer obsession...er...addiction...er...hobby into a paying career that I enjoy (almost -- life would be so much simpler without end-users, but I digress) every day.
