Default Another new member application!

Hi everyone

I'm 26 years old, from Sydney (originally from South Africa) and I've lived in and around Bondi since I was about 2 years old.

Gaming History

- It all started with a NES and some really basic PC games on a 386. Fond memories of original Mario Bros and beating my friends as Guile in Street Fighter when we were all of 6 or 7 years old.

- Since then I've played virtually everything and quickly found myself bouncing between consoles and a PC. I still have an N64 in a closet somewhere and maintain that GoldenEye was some of the best multiplayer fun of all time, especially with 3 mates over and people screaming at each other. That's now transitioned into Fifa, various racing games and other genres (though those are mostly on PC).

- MMO experience: DAoC. I played for years and was competitive in RvR/PvP with Midgard on a popular server. Played some WoW but didn't get particularly far and dabbled in numerous other MMOs including AoC, Aion and Guild War.

- Current MMO is Rift and I have a level 50 Mage (Wazard) on Guardian/Tearfall, probably around T1-2 level gear-wise and enjoy playing both my Chloro role and a dps role. Haven't dabbled much in PvP as yet, but I'm gunning for it as soon as I'm geared up.

About me

I'm a lawyer working for a large corporate law firm in Sydney in a private equity/private M&A team. Gaming is a great way to relieve some of the stress and, due to the job, availability can be a bit inconsistent but most week nights are free as are weekends.

I've always had an avid interest in computers, technology and gaming. Aside from the gaming experience above, I've dabbled in web and graphic design and even started a small company, which continues to today. I love gadgets and try to keep up with new tech and developments in the computer world.

Why I'd like to join TOG

To be honest, I just want my gaming time to be spent with good people. So far the people I've met from TOG have all been friendly and mature - it's often really difficult to find people like that who take gaming seriously, but not too seriously, and can have fun while still being competitive. It'd be great to game with fellow Aussies in our busy timeslots.

Please let me know if you need any other info. I look forward to hearing from you guys.

Cheers
