What games are you currently play/looking to play with TOG?

Perpetuum, though I still play EQ2 Extended and a few other non MMO's/



What was the first machine you played games on or pen and paper game you played?

C=64 Zork and the Ultima series got me hooked on all rpg's, but my first gaming console was the Atari 2600. Venture was the rpg for that console, and it was pretty bad.


Why do you want to join TOG?

I am an adult, and I really wish to play with others who act like adults, and I think real adults do a better job at this that anyone else. I have real life responsibilities, and other hobbies, and I would hate to join a group of players in a game that need me to be there more often than I am able. I am thoughtful player; however, I am also a father, husband, and I have a stupid day job, too.


Tell us about yourself or anything else you'd like to share.

I'm 40, have 2 kids (one is 9 months this Sunday), have been teaching English in Chicago for 13 years at a high school, and I play lots of computer games. Hmmm, I am also an avid woodworker and fisherman. Games seem to be very cathartic for my job's frustrations, and I really enjoy MMO's where I can explore and kill stuff for goods. I started teaching 13 years ago, and I love it, but it's pretty hard atm, since teachers are getting a bad rep in the media due to a few bad teachers. I've been fishing forever, and that takes up most of my weekends when I'm not with the family. When I retire, I plan on opening a furniture shop in town or selling specialty whiskey cabinets. Right now, I am making a series of wooden toy trains for my newborn son. I have a full woodshop, and I am trying (with some good results) to make an entire set with hand tools only. Not that its a good tie in with many gamers, but some of my work is on Sawmillcreek.com under my real life name.

Side note - I see you have a teamspeak server, which is awesome, but my wife would pull the plug on my comp if I was on that and my baby was sleeping. So, while I can be on there at various times, I try not to give my better half reasons to plot my demise or the demise of my gaming computer.
