Wink Hello all! Membership post....

Hi All! Sorry in advance for the long post ;D

I am interested in applying for a TOG membership.

I am 29 and right into FPS, but can only really play between 8 and 10pm due to family commitments. So that pretty much puts full-on competitive play out of reach. I am however interested in something like weekly scrims, friendly matches and the chance to get some advice on being a better player.

Currently I play TF2 as medic/pyro/demo. I am interested in finding a group who actually play as a team. Public servers are irritating like this - nobody communicating, everyone running off on their own. Everyone wanting to be a spy or sniper.

Occasionally you can find a game with a couple of good players who manage to coerce everyone into some sort of co-operation, and that makes a huge difference!

Also I have Brink and have noticed that the TOG servers are nearly always the only ones with people playing.
One other thing I've noticed; I have never heard any voice chat in Brink. Do you use some third party VoIP for chatting in Brink??

My first gaming experience was on a friends Atari (1600?) when I was REALLY young. But we had an original NES system where we sunk heaps of youthful hours into mario, ninja turtles and marble madness. After that was the Sega mega-drive a super nintendo, nintendo 64 and finally an Xbox.

After they stopped making games for the first Xbox I sort of went on gaming hiatus, until last year when I bought my first proper gaming PC.

It's been happy fragging in TF2 ever since

I am interested in TOG because you are a group that seems to suit my situation perfectly.

So, I am looking forward to hearing from you soon - I only have a hotmail account so I will keep an eye on the junk folder just in case a reply ends up there.

Peace!

Shoops when you get your full access drop by the Brink Division and say g'day. I will set up a welcome thread for you shortly!

And yes we mainly use Teamspeak 3 for voice coms. When you get your full membership you get access to all that too.

Welcome to TOG
