hello everyone. i'm 33 years old and i've been rpg gaming since i was about 7 in the mid 80's with 1st and 2nd edition ad&d and some Warhammer. even played other paper games like: Robotech, Heroes Unlimited, even Aliens. i never GM'd when paper and dice gaming though. my brother was brilliant at it. he knew how to really get us to immerse ourselves into the charactor. we did not just do treasure runs. we did full out epic style adventures that took months and months to finish, but still left open for further adventures... man, he was good... anyhow.. lol, the memories.
first console gaming i did was even years earlier in Germany. we had what was called an Intelevision. had a game called "Cloak and Dagger" that i remember really liking. i never had an Atari but did play them until the early Nintendos came out. loved the Final Fantasy series, and original Zelda(i still catch myself whistling the music that from time to time) . played a game called Ogre Battle or something like that for the 64 and all kinds of others i'm sure. but always prefered the rpg's no matter what. i did not game much in my teen years though. worked hard to become an All-Star swimmer and was actually invited to compete in the Toowamba International Sports Challenge. was unable to go but would have love to. in my early 20's i started playing Everquest. played the EQ end game for years and at one point my Beastlord was in the top 10 of the entire game. ended up frying my motherboard and was out of gaming for a year or so. then started playing WoW with my cousin once i got new computer. Played the end game in Wow until just recently. was getting old, boring, and repetitive. now i'm 33 and just started playing Rift. i have a some good friends that are in TOG and i like how it looks here. would like to be a part and hang with some old school gamers like myself. now i don't claim to know everything and i never will. but i learn fast, i play smart, and i have fun and never rage. i don't waste the energy on getting mad a game. lol, sorry for the novel. hope to join you and have some fun. take care.
