Application for Membership
Greetings Everyone,
My name is Michael and I am from Des Moines, Iowa, USA. I'm going to do things in a reverse order from the suggestions. So, we'll go ahead and get started with #4.
A little bit of background about me. I am 26 years old, I graduated from Iowa State University in 2007. I've been in banking since I started working part time as a teller during college. I will be starting the Full-Time MBA Graduate program at Drake University in September, which leads into #3, why I am looking to join TOG.
I discovered TOG through the game Global Agenda. I was looking at the in game guild menu and saw your "elevator speech" about the guild. Pulled up your website, looked around for awhile, read some of the posts, and generally liked what I saw. The specific appeal to TOG is the mature environment that you promote and the laid back, stress free atmosphere that I was able to glean from what I read.
My very first memory of playing a video game has to most certainly be Duckhunt on the original NES. Super Mario Brothers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Techmo Superbowl also have fond memories for me.
From browsing your site, I've found that I apparently play a lot more games that TOG does than I originally thought. Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Team Fortress 2, Global Agenda, and World of Warcraft are all games that you have listed that I play. I recently ceased playing World of Warcraft for good, after nearly 8 years, it was time to move on for me. The games that I would be looking to play on a regular basis would be the other three, with a current emphasis on Global Agenda, as I just started playing it this past weekend and am really enjoying it. Bad Company 2 is the other game that I am looking at started to log some hours on again. I have serious designs on the upcoming Star Wars: The Old Republic and will be playing that game upon release.
I've been playing Medic in Global Agenda, as all of my past experience in MMORPGs typically revolves around playing the healing class. I typically prefer to play Medic in Bad Company 2... I think there might be a pattern.
I'd like to thank you for your consideration of my membership application and look forward to hearing back.
Thanks,
Michael
