Hi
Definite old-timer, and relatively new to gaming. I saw the advertisment for Final Fantasy 8 and was betwitched. So I bought it, and a PS1 to play it on. I then played FF online for a while but found it disappointing, although very beautiful - after about level 10 you had to group to progress and I am a solo player at heart.
After some investigation via Google I decided WoW was more to my liking so I downloaded a trial - and within a few hours had ordered the Classic and BC games from Amazon. This was shortly after TBC had been released so I have been playing for approximately 3.5 years.
I am English, living in the North East. I was a mainframe programmer for 30 odd years (very odd as the bulk of that time I was a freelancer

) and then a system tester for a large American company, working in the UK. They were taken over by another large American company a few years and in the down-sizing that followed my job vanished. I am now unemployed but with health problems so am unlikely to work again in the next couple of years, at which time my pension should kick in - if the laws are not changed again
I am a thorough WoW addict and play for 8 hours a day at least. I am an early starter, playing from about 6am to 2pm, then often in the early evenings for a while.
I moved to Thunderhorn as a friend said it was a pleasant environment but unfortunately he no longer plays. I was in a guild until I receive some extremely foul abuse from a guildie (a young one naturally) and the gm was reluctant to kick him for his behaviour so I left. Looking through the guilds advertisements The Old Guard seemed idea because of the age policy - though I will admit the guild level 25 perks will be nice.
My main Willow, 85, is my original hunter back from my first days in WoW - I have shaken the dust off her and she now potters around doing dailies and achievements.
Naffi, 55, is my first ever mage in all this time and I am enjoying leveling her, and I have a level 6 priest Piffy, who will be shadow, and I would like that they all could join if possible.
