Default Would like to be involved :)

Hi there,

I'll start with the basics..My name is Matthew (Matt) I'm 30yo and reside in Hervey Bay with my wife and two children (boy 7, girl 11).

I have been gaming since the mid to late 1980's, first on a Commodore 64 complete with tape drive, BC Bill and Pedro's garden.. Amongst others. Followed by an Intellivision, Sega Master system, Mega drive, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Playstation, Dreamcast (online), PC, Playstation 2 and Xbox 360... I probably didn't need to list them all, suffice to say I've been a gamer for around the last 25 years.

My first foray into online gaming came within the game Quake3 Arena on my sega dreamcast back in 2000~ where we had to play on 33.6k dial up modems on American servers (think 450-500 pings, not to mention having to use control pads), followed by 4x4 evolution and Speed devils online.
Once I purchased a PC in 2001, well, my online gaming has been quite constant ever since with a great many games enjoyed over the years.

These days my online gaming is primarily restricted to the Battlefield series on PC. I was an avid BF2 player and was involved in the various Gamearena etc ladders. I was a founding member of AFO (Australia Field Operatives, now called Frenetic Array), though hung up my guns at a point in time where I was too busy to continue with my obligations (running the clan at that point, before handing it over to 'Riddick').
A few weeks ago I picked up Battlefield Bad Company 2 after finally upgrading my PC to the point where I could play it. I've ashamedly managed to rack up 60+ hours since.

Truth be told I first noticed TOG many years ago, when it was but a baby in comparison. We're talking around a decade ago. I wanted to sign up right away after seeing first hand the decency of the existing members, though I was too young to do so.

So, here I am... Finally? I'm not looking for anything serious, I don't really have any aspirations toward playing in a "serious" competitive manner. Just searching for a decent bunch of people to squad up with, share some banter, some laughs and what not. If some 'for fun' competitive matches come my way then well, why not I guess?

Oh, I shouldn't forget.. I do from time to time play IL-2 Sturmovic online.

Cheers all I hope that I have provided enough information about myself.. If there is anything else, please ask.

Link to my BF BC2 stats, just because... Chameltoe - Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Stats Verse

Matt.

ps: I hope that my nick name is OK. I'm also known as Chamelion and Toe. Like Chameltoe, the spelling has a story behind it and is intentionally incorrect... I'm sure it's obvious at this point, but at some point whilst lanning throughout the years my two alt nicks of Chamelion and Toe ended up being woven together to form Chameltoe. It's not meant as a reference to the ever elusive 'Camel toe'.
