Hi everyone,
My name is Jason. I am 38 years old and I live around Fort Worth Texas. I am a father of 3 and a manager at an Aerospace distribution company.
My first gaming machines were a Commodore 64, TRS80, and an original Atari. Although I can't remember which order I got them anymore. I usually have at least one of the latest consoles in the house to play that one game every year or so that catches my eye. Besides the Halo series, I think Metalgear 2 is the only other console game I've played in the last few years for more than a few days.
I've played MMO's since the original Neverwinter Nights that was available on AOL in 1991. Since then I have played Meridian 59, UO, DAoC, EQ, EQII, Vanguard, SWG (Pre and Post CU and NGE), AoC, Warhammer, Rift, and of course WoW.
I am currently only playing Eve and Perpetuum. I've been in Eve on and off for about 4 years now. I just tried living in null-sec last month for the first time. I picked a good corp in a bad Alliance and moved back to Hi-sec after 30 days. I enjoyed the play style down there but the poor guys I joined were in a poorly run alliance and I just couldn't take it. So I'm back to solo'ing lvl 4's and training skills at the moment.
Perpetuum seems like it has promise. It's lacking content just like every other new MMO I've ever played, however, the premise is unique enough compared to all of the WoW cookie cutters available at the moment that I'm giving it some time to mature before I pass judgement.
I enjoy PVE and PVP although I have to admit I am much better at PVE. I really miss raiding with a good group of like minded players at the moment as neither game I am playing really offers a challenging 10+ man PVE experience. I'm sure something will come along soon enough though.
My alts are Hydrous, Diephus, Sadria, Kitria, and Malru. I've been Ralack or Hydrous and one or more of these other toons in every online game since around 94.
I look forward to meeting some of you. I'm always looking for older gamers who like to take a game seriously but also realize that most of us older guys and girls have families, bills to pay, and other obligations.
