Hello. My name is Joel, and I would like to become a member.

I work for a newspaper in central North Carolina as Design Manager, and play a wide variety of games otherwise. I've been playing games since the old monochrome days of computers and, while I had avoided MMOs for a long time, I find that they are much more enjoyable that I expected, due to the companions you find there.

Mostly I play WoW, but have since added LOTRO and Rift to the stable. Non-MMOs include the Dragon's Age and Mass Effect series, any of the Total War games, Civilization V, 2K MLB and NBA 11, and any number of other games I pick up when I can.

A little additional info. I'm 42, looking for a good group of people to play with that take the games seriously enough to do well, but no so much that it consumes everything about them. I typically play between the hours of 1800-0600 Eastern. Always like learning new things about a game, and will level different alt toon towards that end.
