Hi, My name is Joe and I'd like to join your community. I read about TOG on the Old Republic forums, and it sounds like a pretty good fit for.

I'm 42 years old, and have been hooked on gaming since before my teens...

What was the first machine you played games on or pen and paper game you played?

I played D&D basic when it first came out, then AD&D up through college. Haven't played any paper games since then.

My first console system was a Magnavox Odyssey 200, which unfortunately I managed to break by yanking too hard on the paddle when I was playing (In those days, the paddles were wired directly to the system). I think I was grounded for a month because of that.

My first PC was a TI99-4/A, a contemporary of the Apple II and I whined to my parents that they'd made the wrong choice, but hey it was advanced for its time. I played Hunt-the-Wumpus on it until I was blue in the face.

Why do you want to join TOG?

I'm looking to play games with a bunch fun but mature people. I've been a hardcore player in the past, both in FPS and MMORPGs, but I feel like I'm primarily a casual gamer now. Some of my friends have mentioned TOG in the past and I hope to make some new friends while gaming here too.

Tell us about yourself or anything else you'd like to share

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it, but I am currently addicted to The Sims 3. It feels like a dirty secret!
