[DONE] A propsecitve petition to populate Perpetuum

I'm a dedicated techie and serial entrepreneur in midwest USA with a passion for games. I've been coding and playing games since the good ol' days of punch cards and DEC mini computers, and had a hand in developing interactive games in numerous machines since the first generation of personal computers. The first game I wrote for an 8-bit microprocessor was a Chess program that fit in 4 KB... which (embarrassingly) could beat me pretty consistently. The Civilization series is my all-time favorite, but I occasionally enjoy jumping into an MMORPG when I have sufficient ongoing free time to spare in enjoying, learning from, and contributing to a community.

Among the long list of communal games I've enjoyed, I've played EVE on and off since 2003, but haven't played in a few years. I just discovered Perpetuum, and like it's EVE-like depth for detail but in what is, for now, a smaller player base. I'm looking to join an active, mature group that enjoys participating as community more than swearing at it. I joined a smaller group after a couple days of learning the interface, but despite the availability of a website, forum, chat channel, and vent server there was really no appreciable participation or activity in the group. I discovered TOG was on the server and had a much larger presence. The kind folk in the TOG chat channel invited me to apply here.

I like variety when I play and will likely pursue missions, PVE, ratting, mining, and industry with high enthusiasm, and with considerably less so for PVP except as required when called upon for defense. I enjoy mentoring others and am often an active recruiter in guilds or corps I join. I enjoy finding a way to contribute the group in some unique way, and usually discover several ways to do so.
