A big hello to all of you at theoldergamers.com,
I sure am glad to have found this community of passionate yet older gamers and hope to become a contributing member in the future

.
I am an avid gamer with a particular interest in MMORPG's, although my first taste of button mashing started with Zelda and Mario on the Nes.
Console games became a big part of my life untill I found Doom, Quake and slightly later Unreal Tournament, Soldier of Fortune and Half Life.
Counter-Strike, once developed, really got me hooked and I spent quite a few years playing this among other games.
Planescape Torment also brings back fond memories. Moving on I picked up a cheap copy of Guild Wars, having never played anything like this previously.
The concept of character development and social aspect really appealed to me.
Most of my time is now used up playing World of Warcraft, Rift and a little Guild Wars, among other FTP MMO's.
Joining the older gamer community would be great because MMO's are as much about who you play with as the quality of the game itself.
I would like to have the oppertunity to get to know you all, hopefully creating some great friendships and gaming memories.
After seeing the latest GuildWars2 demo's of Gamescom I highly anticipate this being my time sink upon release and would love to join
an oldergamers guild in this as well as World of Warcraft, which I have just returned to.
Gaming times for me vary from day to day, although I can commit to specific times for raids/events etc.
It just involves persuading my partner that looking after our two year old son (I'm a stay at home dad) while I game is a good Idea hehe.
As we live in a small village in Cornwall this is not usually a problem
Well I hope that is everything I needed to include (I am 27 years old btw), I look forward to your reply
