Hello Fellow Older Gamers,
Im looking at joining The Osgiliath Guard kin on Elendilmir LOTRO, So please accept my application to join TOG.
Been playing Loto on Dwarrowdelf, had a great time with a fantastic kin on there, but there wasn't enough people logged on at the times I was logged on after work etc. So Joined El, the unofficial Aussie lotro server and found out about The OG's
NOt that I'm hardcore and want to rush to the end game, Im pretty casual really and to be honest somewhat whimsical too.. can get organised to raise up a large FS or can happy enough to craft the hours away too. Or quest, Or do deeds, or chase Rep.. or farm for craft mats.. or.. well you know .. everythign else.. it sucks you in right? Point is the way I play is how I feel at the time. Sometimes its nice to chat a bit on the kin channel, other times Im having a beer and unwinding from work by killin orcs and stuff and really can't be bothered typing and reading too much.. which I do at work.. (IT).
Have only taken part in a couple of Raids with my Dwarrowdelf Guard. Keen to do more. Keen to learn about how to play my classes to the best they can be. I have a lvl 24 Loremaster (Ernolf) and a level 24 Warden (Erndaran) my main is a levl 30 minstrel (Ernvys) who is just a lot of fun to play. Kind of been supplementing and supporting each with crafting gear.
Growing up we had an Atari 2600, later a commodore 64, bought my own PC's at uni and after that. Spent far too many hours up late at night on far too many games to remember.
Pen and Papered with AD&D, plus MERP and ROlemaster. Little bit of Shadowrun and StarWars for a bit of variety.
Significant moment in PC gaming was during uni - Network LAN nights playing Quake with flatmates until the wee hours of the morning..
Loved the FPS's after that for many years before moving to the RPG's
Neverwinter Nights seemed to be the game of choice back in the early noughties..loved the toolset and DM client too.. much time was consumed ..
Most recently played D&D online a little bit, but couldn't get into it.. Loved LOTRO been playing for about a year now. Got in with free to play..happy to pay these days
I hope you accept my application
Cheers
Ernie
