TOG - The Older Gamers

Hello, mods! Yes, another application post. This one comes to you from a dorky woman who's been dating a TOG member (Irimar) for the past 3 years and is well convinced that y'all rock. I'm very much interested in TOG as a community more than anything, but, well, I like to play games too, not just talk about them!

My name is Andrea, though I've gone by Sarianna online since 1995. I've finally gotten my butt back into school, studying Computer Information Systems, but most of my free time is spent with my nose in a book or in front of a computer screen, or D&D/Pathfinder when my group is around. I mostly enjoy the social aspect of the intertubez; I started on RP-style MUCKs in the mid-'90s and still love best that blend of multiplayer in-game interaction and out-of-character chat. I'm a relatively casual gamer and generally don't spend more than three or four hours at a stretch in any single game, unless it's a planned group run.

My current gaming One True Love is Guild Wars, where I'm working on getting the Rainbow Phoenix, and finally finishing Prophs in NM (I started with Factions, and in comparison, Prophs is like pulling teeth...slowly). I've also started playing Minecraft recently, though I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by the frequent updates in the last couple of weeks; my style is definitely better matched with creative mode. My fallback always-fun games are Audiosurf, Portal 2, and Terraria. A little competition is fun, but working together is way more awesome to me, I guess.

Oh, and Irimar tells me I should tell you that I use his internet connection sometimes, so that when it flags, you'll know why.
