Hello all,

I am originally from JHB South Africa, then London and now Melbourne. I'm a programmer by trade and have been for the last decade or so. My favourite hobbies include golf, soccer, programming and gaming; with gaming being the one thing I turn to constantly for easily available stress relief. I am a husband (5 years now) and a father to a wonderful 2 year old little girl.

I have always found that gaming is much more fun when you're part of a community, the problem being that as one gets older is more difficult to find a community to fit into! I've been playing BF2 a lot recently and came across the TOG server and I've enjoyed it much more than any other. When I pinged a member in-game to ask about membership and got directed to the site, I found that TOG is so much bigger than just BF which is fantastic.

I'd sincerely appreciate becoming a member and enjoying the company of my fellows in a good community.

Oh, so true to form I didn't read the full requirements for the application. So, here goes:

The very first machine I played on was an Atari. It was epic, and provided years of fun. I even recorded the Airwolf soundtrack on tape so that I could play it in a loop while I played River Raiders... good times.

The first computer I played on was one of my mates' Commodore 64. Some time after that I got hooked and my parents got me a 286 with a 20MB hard drive and a 16 colour screen. It was a massive investment back then, but it launched me into the programming profession I am in today.

I actively play BF2142 and BF2 and will be onto BF3 asap. I also enjoy Guild Wars and have been playing since the very beginning. Other than that, I always give the new stuff a go, but much of it doesn't stick.
