Default Application

Hi people,
Applying for full membership of TOG. I'm 54.

Have enjoyed playing RPGs for many years, starting back with Dungeons and Dragons dice game in the 1980's as a DM and a player.
Also liked the Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights, so moved on from that to World of Warcraft where I have several toons, highest is a 76lvl pally tank and have now started playing Rift as a friend of mine is playing it. Rift is in someways better than Wow yet like them both, and so will be playing both.
So now have a lvl 12 toon on Rift, Wolfbane, Defiant - name Zanamroz!

The first computer game I played was 'Out of Eden' on an Amstrad CPC 664 with a floppy disk. This computer geek friend and I even tried to make our own game, we thought that one day we may even be able to play D&D on the computer, we had no idea how big the market was going to become (should have stuck with that idea, as it may have paid off, oh well.)

I like the idea of a large network of Gamers like TOG, as it is more stable and no one person can destroy it, like as sometimes happens with a Guild on one realm somewhere. Example:One person leads, people follow, then the leader gives up and the guild dies; the glue that stuck it together is gone and that flavor of leadership is often hard to reproduce. Yet with a bigger network, players would be secure in their belief that the Guild will always be there for them.

I am Australian, lived in many parts of the country and now work on a mine site in the desert. I have one week off, every three weeks, so have plenty of time in that week to play games.
