Thumbs up marcphive, Potential Member

Hi all, call me marcphive.

I'm a 29 year old gamer, who grew up playing Mario Brothers at home and Street Fighter 2 at the laundromat.

I'm married to a very lovely but jealous wife, so my gaming has to be early in the morning before I head off to work

I love to potential for storytelling in games. I remember picking up Chrono Trigger at the video store without even knowing what an 'RPG' was, and I got hooked. I actually cared about these characters and their story. Time travelling, robots, dinosaurs and talking frogs also helped.

At the ripe old age of thirteen, my uncle sat me down in front of his new computer, giving me a joystick, and firing up Star Wars X-Wing. And don't even get me started on Star Craft. I never looked back: I am a die-hard PC Gamer, upgrading processors, memory and video cards up until now.

Now I'm a little older, wiser, and poorer. I'm ok with not having the best graphics and highest FPS. As long as the play is smooth and the story is great, I'll play the game.

Which brings me to now. I'm playing on a new Acer laptop with:

i5 2410 dual core
4g RAM
Intel HD graphics 3000

which I plan on eventually upgrading to an i7 2630qm and 8g ram It seems I can't get rid of the upgrade itch.

I just started Assassin's Creed 2 and just finished Fallout 3. Yes, the poorness of my married life requires me to wait until titles are on crazy Steam sales.

I want to join TOG for SW:TOR. Star Trek online was a let-down that I played for about six months, but then grew tired of. I want a story! Bioware's Mass Effect and KOTOR were great titles, so I'm confident that SWTOR will be good. I already preordered and am looking for a guild who shares my love of gaming for gaming's sake.

So that's me in a very large nutshell. See you in game!
