[DONE] Acceptance-Seeking Behavior

1. Games I play: Currently, it would be Minecraft (mostly just single player), EVE, and Pirates of the Burning Sea. I'm also drooling over a few upcoming Xbox titles (Saints Row 3, Skyrim, Battlefield 3, etc), but I don't plan on picking those up until they drop in price. I have this thing about not buying anything full price, after all. I did try WoW for a few days, but couldn't really get into it.

2. The first machine I played on was an old Atari 2600 that my parents dug out of the attic at our old house. I think I must have been six or seven years old at the time, and they still had the old joysticks with the one button on top. Some of my favorites were Barnstorming, Joust, and Choplifter. To this day, I still get a little nostalgic about some of those games.

3. The main reason why I want to join is to be around (mostly) like-minded gamers who don't see this as a gaming 24/7 kind of thing. The sort of folks who actually have lives that they enjoy living. I like the concept of a community of folks who enjoy playing games, yet still have things to do, because that's the way I am. I also like the concept of being able to be in a guild with the same folks in Guild Wars that are in my society in POTBS.

4. Well, I'm 28 (or 27--I don't remember, and don't ask me to do the math), and I teach high school English. I write some, play video games when I can, and am working on trying to stay sane in this world out here. Speaking of sanity, I'm also working my way through Joseph Heller's Catch 22, which isn't helping any. If anything, it's only making me crazier. Not much else I can think of besides that at the moment, though. Hopefully I'll be accepted into the group.
