Hey guys,
I'm Dan, 26 years old and live on the northside of Brisbane. I'm a Lifestyle Development Worker (or Social Worker for those who don't know what a LDW does) and work for a non-government organisation that works with people who have disabilities/mental illnesses. I love my heavy metal! Most of the time when I am smashing out on my PC/PS3/Xbox, I will also be cranking some heavy tunes. Machine Head or Amon Amarth are the two bands that I'm addicted to at the moment.
My bro, Rage032 got me onto TOG because I'm "Forever Alone" when it comes to playing online games. He told me I should join so I actually had some friends! First machine we had was Sega Master System. It came with a couple of built in games, one was a indy racing game, the other was like "Duck Hunt" which you used one of those light guns to shoot things on screen. Probably the first encounter of a FPS I had really.
Currently addicted to BF3. To be honest I wasn't the biggest fan of the BF series. I always found it a bit slow and clunky. So naturally that gravitated me over to being a COD fan because of it's fast pace gameplay. However BF3 has really impressed me! Although so far I have spent most of my reviving others as a medic. My K/D ratio suffers because of this though! But then I've never been one for caring much for K/D ratio because I'm more of a team player. I'll take a K/D of 1/100 any day, if it means my team wins the game.
I enjoy games of all types, not just FPS. I played the new Batman: Arkham City for about 14 hours straight recently. I couldn't put it down! My only complaint is that it should have a part where you get to drive the Bat-mobile! However I am being greedy as they already give you so much of the Batman Universe. As awesome as the fighting and gliding and general epicness of the world, I loved the puzzles. Limbo had the same effect. I couldn't stop playing cause I needed to figure out every puzzle.
Anyways that is enough rambling from me. Thanks heaps and I hope to see you on the servers!
