Hello everyone. I'm a 41 year old gameradict (although admittedly the adiction has gone down over the last 10 years) that would like to join your ranks.
I am currently playing Battlefield 3 and I'm starting to long for a "home" instead of the constant quickmatches. Obviously I am hoping for a home where the enemy will have less than lightning fast reflexes and..well you get the idea

But seriously, a community where people are a little bit older than usual in the gaming world seems pretty perfect to me.
I live in Sweden and would like to use that as an excuse for poor spelling. I have a wife and two kids so as you can probably gather my hardcore days are over. But I still want to play dagnabit.

If you think I use strange expressions it's because I pick most of my english up from American sitcoms.
I started my "gaming career" on my dad's old ZX spectrum 48 k. Allthough it wasn't old back then I suppose. I also hogged my friends' Commodore 64s when I got a chance. After that, however, I took a 11 year break in gaming since it wasn't "cool" enough for the young me. All that changed when DOOM spread throughout my workplace's computers like a virus in 93 was it? Since then I've been hooked. Ive played most of the major titles since then but drifted away from shooters when EVE-online was released in 03. I did play BF1942 though and have made a few short apearances in other shooters as well.
I am not sure if this is the proper place for questions already but I'll give it a try.
I read that you were mainly Australians and Americans so I was a bit concerned about finding people in my timezone. Are there any Europeans here playing BF3?
And. Do you happen to have an EVE online corp as well possibly? Ive been away from that game for 3 years and just got back. All my old buddies are gone so I am lonely and cold
Hope that wasn't too long and ranty.
Cheers: "DuffMan70"
