Default New TOG App (Ricardus)

Hias,

My name is Ricardo but i usually go by the name of Ricardus on online games due having a poor imagination for creating character names
I live on that place of the most recent economic turmoil, Yurp, in Portugal to be more precise, but you guys don't need to know that either

I started my gaming life on a ZX Spectrum and a crappy tape player (which i had in permanent state of disassemble to better tune the tape reader heads) and resulted in some class skipping (hey, it's a hard choice... Math or Play Games... suuuuure) events.
Then i moved to an Commodore Amiga (kick ass graphs and sound compared to existing DOS PCs at the time) and was more than happy to stop hearing all the racket needed from the Spectrum games!

Sometime later after my time in the army i started playing online games (MUDs mostly) until i ventured into EverQuest... got hooked on it and in the concept of Guilds and member cooperation for Raids. Played it for some 6 years, moved to SWG but it got messed up by SOE's design changes and i moved to WoW (which i played for some 5 years or so), did AoC at launch but it was a major mess due FailCom, Above & Beyond (dang EA for pulling the plug), Tabula Rasa and Warhammer are other titles i've been, recently tried Rift but it was a no-go.

With occasional exceptions where they were not present, i've been with the same raiding guild over the years, but as years go by, dedicating countless hours to raiding has become a bit of a strain in my aching back, not to mention that being an Yurpeen in an US guild meant being up well past midnight everyday for Raiding. So i started getting gradually more casual... something that with the recent flood of the F2P games, isn't hard to be.
Sadly F2P games tends to be frown upon by "Harcore Raiding Guilds" and they are usually not played officially, which leads to a very poor solo gaming experience. Whats the point of online games if all you do is to play alone with only the General Chat as companion?
That's where you guys come in!

Lately i've been playing numerous F2P that include:
-Lord of the Rings Online
-Age of Conan
-Champions Online
-Fallen Earth
-World of Tanks
-DC Universe Online
...i also have an Lifetimer (yep, i got suckered before launch) STO account that i haven't played since the 1st month of launch (i'm waiting for the game to stop being a big POS).
I usually play one of these a month or 2, then get bored from solo'ing and more to another game of the list for and identical time and reason, then i restart the list.

Soooo if u guys don't mind another freebooter... ahem... i mean another gamer joining yas...
