Default New Application: SWTOR Jedi Consular: FriarLou

Hello everyone, I found your Guild information on SWTOR's Guild page, and would like to apply for membership.

I am a long-time gamer who started roughly a million years ago on a TRS-80 Model 1 with 16K RAM, a cassette drive, and a black-and-white monitor. At the advanced age of 43, I'm looking forward to playing SWTOR as a Jedi Consular (healing spec) upon the game's release in a few weeks. I also enjoy playing the economy (I'm a Certified Financial Planner in the real world), so I plan on leveling crafting alts as well later on.

I'm looking to play with gamers who are "grownups," with jobs, families, etc. I have nothing against younger players, but would rather socialize with people my own age. That's why I'm applying to join you.

I was an Officer (managing the Guild Bank) in my WoW Guild (Tabula Rasa, Dragonblight-US server), but I stopped playing the game soon after Cataclysm was released. We had always been a raiding Guild, 200+ members, mostly PvE with sporatic PvP, and cleared almost all the content (never got LK down in Heroic 25 though). Until I became bored with the game, I enjoyed playing with my Guildmates, whether via questing, gathering, dailies, or raiding. We used Ventrilo, then switched to Mumble, and some of my fondest memories of WoW weren't the game itself, but conversations with people around the world from the Guild.

I hope that there's a good match between what we're both looking for. Please let me know if we can play together at release.
