[DONE] Application/Introduction

Heya All,

Well I'm guessing this is where I say hello and introduce myself to you all, so.. Hi, I'm Sp00kD... Hmm a bit more than that.

Okay I've been playing games since the joyous times of the Atari 2600 and Pitfall mainly on friend's systems as I wasn't fortunate to have one of my own, all that changed however when I got a C64 for my birthday one year - and games have sucked me in ever since. I moved onto an Amiga 500 and the very flash Amiga 1200 as I got older and started to earn my own money. It was the system that introduced me to the Civilization and Grand Prix series and they still reside on my gaming machine's hard drive today.

Then I was introduced to a little game called Doom and PC's became my gaming rig of choice ever since though at times I do miss my old Amiga and the times where I didn't sleep because I wanted one more level of Populous 2. I also play pen and paper games namely AD&D when the time allows but sadly that is all dependent on time these days and most of us don't have any of it to devote to it. Which is kind of sad really.

Hmm what else I guess an MMO history goes without saying and off the top of my head the list includes - Age of Conan, Tabula Rasa, EVE, Aion, Rift and of course WoW. Mind you I don't just limit myself to MMOs aside from the aforementioned Civ and GP series, I'm discovering how bad I am at BF3 (still having fun though) how enjoyable a good RPG is - Skyrim of course and the joys of digging and building stuff in both Terraria and Minecraft. I haven't even touched on the X-Box yet.. as you can tell - bit of a gaming addict.

I'm not currently playing any MMOs at the moment though with luck on the 15th of this month - I'll be leveling my Sith Sorcerer and trying to figure out if I want to heal or throw lots of lightening about. I played in the last beta and it was enough to make me want to import the game from the US, still waiting on my pre-order code but will be annoying the importer tomorrow to get that sorted out.

I guess the reason I'd like to join TOG is because in all my dealings with the guild over the years (mainly in WoW) no-one from your guild ever annoyed me to the point where I thought the guild as a whole was 'bad'. In fact as a healer I was quite happy when I saw the majority of a pug made up by TOG members - never any drama. I'm looking at devoting the next chunk of my gaming history to SW:TOR and thought about guilds at this ridiculous hour and was browsing the guild forums when I saw your name mentioned and given my positive experience with your members from WoW and giving a thought nod of agreement to your FAQ and Rules I thought we'd be a good fit.

Real life stuff I guess now.. I'm 39 years of age, single with no kids - I'm mostly retired (sadly not by choice) and work for myself either doing freelance writing or photography - both of which sadly need improvement. I've just recently taken up blogging again as a way to fill in that free time between games and the web address is listed in my UserCP if you want to groan at it.. it gets a bit sweary and really isn't all that great but I need the practice at writing again so that's my practice.. and a good place to vent

Other than that.. I can't think of anything else and considering I'm writing an essay here, I'll leave it at that. Feel free to ask anything I may have missed and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
