Setting up Signatures and Avatars

I know this is a stupid question before I ask it but how do you set up the signatures and avatars?

Eg - if I have an image or whatever saved on my PC can I link it through via a URL to become my avatar image?

Is there a post that explains all this stuff?

You do it threw your profile. A pic will work for the avitar, but for your sig you need to get with the officer of the game you are in. He has people that do them for the new people.

You'll also need to have your pics hosted somewhere on the net. Here is the codes used for my Sigs and Avatar:

You can also sign up for photobucket, which is a site you can upload your pics and sig's, have them put into code and then you can copy and paste to your profile etc.
