Well, where to start? I guess introductions are in order. I'm Russell, 30 from Scotland. Recently went back to university to study computer science which hasn't yet put me off computer gaming.

I've been playing computer games for as long as I can remember, starting out with the old rubber keyed ZX spectrum with such classics as Daley Thompsons Decathlon (aka the joystick destroyer) and the Dizzy series of games.

Over the years I've moved through the NES, SNES, N64, Xbox and Xbox360.

I didn't get into PC gaming till the intel pentium (the original, no numbers or letters for that fellow) and remember when my parents told me we were getting one I was so excited as I thought this was the height of technology. We got it home, booted up (DOS!) and then tried to run my first PC game only to be informed that I apparently did not have enough memory. Those were the days, when you had to fiddle about with config.sys and autoexec.bat files to manage to squeeze enough space in memory to run the games you wanted to play.

More recently my prefered games of choice are RPG or strategy games, with an MMORPG history that includes DAOC, World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings, Eve, Aion, Age of Conan, Warhammer online, DC online and possibly more that I can't remember right now. Of those, the game I lodged the most time with by far was DAOC, my first and still most fondly remembered MMORPG.

On the single player gaming front some of my best gaming memories are from playing the Elite series, the civilisation series, any rpg by Bioware or the now defunct Black Isle.

So, now we get to my next game of choice. Imagine my excitement when I heard that Bioware were going to try their hand at an MMORPG in the form of the Old Republic.

This also leads into my reason for applying, I have a group of friends which usually get together in each online rpg we try which formed through playing MMORPGS who all fit the bill for a TOG gamer. A few have already joined and have recommended TOG as a community that matches our gaming mentality.
I currently have a character on the Red Eclipse server (dark side) who, I would love to join up with other TOG members to play and hopefully form friendships that last into future games.

I'm pretty relaxed in my gaming attitude and always happy to spend some time helping others out. I think I've written quite a lot for now, if there's anything else you'd like to know just ask.
