wannabe noob
I'm looking for a guild to call home. I've been in virtually every kind of guild that exists, at one point or another. From hardcore extremists that require certain skill levels, to laid back and just have fun guilds. I've even run my own guilds quite successfully, ranging from both ends of the spectrum.
The problem seems to be that I don't find the right people. Even running my guild has often meant its full of so many demanding ideas that you can't keep anyone happy. And it becomes a chore to deal with everyone demanding their ideas be implemented, without regard to how it conflicts with others. I just want a place to rest my weary head and call home. If this place can give that, then I'd be more then happy.
Yes, I remember playing the games on the atari 2600, the c-64, and so on. Pitfall... Those were the days. Anyone remember things like spy versus spy? Or how about some of the old text games, like Planetfall?
I play a lot of games. More then I should. But I have a lot of time on my hands. I just picked up Rift and would like to find the right place to settle in. But I refuse to just join whatever random guild comes by and invites everyone. Other then a family, I'm not looking for free handouts or anything else.
In terms of gaming preferences, I have a wide range. I enjoyed things like EVE Online, one of the most hardcore MMO's out there. And I also had a lot of fun playing EQ, AC, UO, DAOC, and well, most of them. I like RPG, RTS, and some FPS games, depending on my mood.
I'll use Vent or TS and like to be a team player. But sometimes I just want to do my own thing as well.
Your consideration is appreciated.
