Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself and apply for membership into your swtor guild if you have an opening on Jekk Jekk.

My character name is "Kothar" - As at the time of writing a level 21 Commando specced into Combat Medic (heals).

To field some of your questions:


1. What games are you currently play/looking to play with TOG?


Star Wars: The Old Republic on the Jekk Jekk Tar server


2. What was the first machine you played games on or pen and paper game you played?

First computer was a commodore 64, although previously if consoles count I also had an atari at the same time. Then graduated onto my first pc at the age of 10, an IBM 386 sx 25 with a whopping 2mb of ram!!! Since then I've been an avid PC gamer ever since getting hooked on the D&D Goldbox games starting with Pools of Radiance all the way through to current day.

As for Pen and Paper I'm showing my nerdism here as I played everything from D&D, AD&D, Shadowrun, Rifts (not the MMO), CyberPunk and lots of other Pen and Paper games that I've probably forgotten =)


3. Why do you want to join TOG?


Being an older gamer myself (35) I completely understand and welcome a community comprised of older gamers. I have played a number of MMOs over the years from EverQuest, Star Wars Galaxies, EverQuest 2, Dark Age of Camelot and then eventually World of Warcraft. The latter of which I played for a number of years (since vanilla) on the Dath'Remar server in a guild called Vegemight which was comprised of like minded mature oriented guild members. One of which includes another recent applicant on your forums Sevrus! Shout out mate!


Whilst playing all these MMOs however, the one aspect that I found to be the least enjoyable was dealing with the dramas and incidents that were caused primarily by immature gamers. So I can most definitely appreciate a guild comprised of senior gamers.


I think I would be able to contribute much to TOG as a guild member as I'm fairly easy going, helpful, friendly and happy to spend time helping others achieve their goals whatever they may be.


Being a bit of a geek myself I also enjoy theory crafting and don't mind crunching numbers on my various toons to maximise performance although I'm certainly not hard core about it and do not consider myself elitist, I just like numbers =)

4. Tell us about yourself or anything else you'd like to share.

I'm a family man with a 19 month old daughter and I'm an avid gamer (as described above). I'm an IT professional and work for a well known australian company and enjoy my time both at work and home. My hours are fairly flexible as I mostly work a standard 40 hour week.

In short I hope you consider my application as I would like to find a new home in your ranks and look forward to grouping with a community of like-minded mature gamers.
