Hiho,
to get straight into it, the first game i ever played was Pong.
From there it went on, heaps of hours on a console of a friend. Im still trying to figure out what kind of console it was. Some left to right shooter and the thing used tapes. It took forever to load a game, but once it was loaded...
My first own computer was a PC 386, the old own of my dad. He bought a 486 wit a turbo button on it. You could crank it up to 66 Mhz

(was it 88Mhz?)
Games?
Indiana Jones, Leisure suit Larry, Monkey island, Day of the Tentakle, Maniac mansion you know em.
What really got me was Warcraft and then Command and Conquer.
Dont take me up on the order of the games, its damn long ago...
Around the same time my best mate and neighbor got an Amiga 500
CANON FODDER

and Pirates and Settlers.
Settlers again really got me. Still playing it every now and then, only the first one please!
From there it went on into FPS, Wolfenstein, Doom, Hexen, Descent. Again, you know em.
A Playstation entered my life eventually. Tony Hawks, Grand Tourismo (The reason why i bought the PS2), Baldurs Gate and hell nows what else...
To bring this to a conclusion. I was born at the right time and started of with gaming shortly after games started of. Im not into one special genre, not hooked to mind blowing graphics or the most complicated systems. It just has to be fun to play.
Today im playing TF2 mainly, X3 a bit and somehow i had the very stupid idea to get every single Games Workshop computer game and play em all...
Dosbox rocks

My life besides gaming:
Im a German guy, 31 years old and came to Australia a couple years ago living in Brisbane. Atm i work full time and start studies end January 2012.
The reason i joined TOG was to find people to play with that know what games have been about in the old times, who miss the real adventure games as much as i do.
People who are able to have a chat besides games, know what real life is about...
People who are able to play in teams and work together on a strategy.
So far, questions welcome and see ya soon online.
