Hello All,

You came highly recommended from a RL friend whose TOG user name I don't know, and it is too late at night to call and ask.

I am a casual gamer who loves the idea of being part of an online community but normally can't make gaming plane because of RL commitments (wife, kids, job).

As I write this I am downloading SWTOR, I played WOW for about a year and while I did heroics I never raided. I also played City of heroes for several years before that.

I first played pen & paper D&D in the early 80s. The first game console I owned was pong. The first few games that sucked massive time out of my life and caused priority issues were all on a MAC, they were Wizardry, Falcon, and The Art of War, and SSIs empire builder that I cant remember the name of.

Turn based strategy is probably my favorite genre but find I don't have the time to devote to those that they really tend to deserve, but I do love a good MMORPG.

In games, and life really I tend to get frustrated when I dont understand why something is going on, and also absorb information about my interests to prevent that frustration. Once I am knowledgable I really love to help other people and answer question or provide advice when asked.

Typically I am a forum lurker.

The name Maladyn comes from a Star Trek chat sim on AOL where I played a Romulan medic that believed pain was the first and best remedy for all ailments and injuries. Somehow the name stuck.

Thanks for considering me
