Hi all,

I'd have to say that TOG is just the type of organization I'm looking for. My immediate interest is to make a shift from playing Warcraft (where I have been officer and GM of 2 raiding guilds, have played for 4+ years) to SWTOR and perhaps some FPS games like Modern Warfare or even IL-2. As an officer and GM, I've always tried to maintain an environment where adults can be serious about raiding/progression and PVP, but still see your kids and get on with real life. As you all know, leading a guild can be a lot of responsibility to make sure everyone is having a good time, there are regular activities going on, screening new recruits etc. Im having a baby soon (well my wife is ) and am going to need to dial back, at least on the organization part. But I still crave having a mature, social environment to enjoy the games I DO invest time in to the fullest.

I started gaming back in the mainframe days playing Star Trek and Rogue. (geez just typing that makes me feel old). Played a lot of Avalon Hill games in high school (Third Reich, Panzer Leader), and in grad school I took up Ultima Online. My job is as a user insights analyst for a major tech firm, and I was (re)hooked on MMOs about 5 years ago as part of a work project (which was essentially explaining to execs what the kids are doing these days with gaming). Soon my work project became a hobby again and...here I am. Key thing I've had to explain to these guys is that MMOs in particular, and organizations like yours, are communities in a real sense. Our dads joined the Kiwanas or Elks and had bowling nights, we play SWTOR and chat over VOIP.

So hope I can join you guys and add to your community to the best of my abilities.

Oh a couple of other things. Have already rolled a Jedi Guardian on Jekk Tarr'Tarr and he's level 35. Thinking of a Smuggler next. Am flexible as to roles depending on what the guild needs, but I really love tanking/leading raids. Like to be a student of the game, understand how to maximize my class and then share that knowledge with guildies.
