TOG - The Older Gamers

After reading through TOG info I thought to myself: 'Wow, this is me!' Hence the following application:

I'm a 25 year old man, doing my 4th year of medical school in Sydney. Needless to say the medical profession carries with it a slight amount of stress, even as a student. My way to cope with this is to kill people! In Counter-Strike: Source and Battlefield 2.

I've played PC games since the glory-days of the C-64. I once owed an Amiga 512, which I expanded the memory on to get an Amiga 1024. The reason I mention this is that I still remember the price tag on the memory board: a whooping $400 AUD, and the size of the sucker was similar to a small motherboard!

These days I play CSS and BF2 mainly, and that would be the games I'd be interested in/hoping to represent TOG in. I've played CS since the early 1.5-days, and got Battlefield 2 as a 25th birthdaygift from my friends a few days after it was released (good freinds, huh?).

#1 Edit: Forgot to post that I have read (and fully undersatand and agree with) both the AUP and the TOG FAQ!

Welcome! Please follow the instructions located in the sticky post at the top of this thread. After that, an admin will get you set up.

Once you've been made a full member head on down to the BF2 forums and say hello. Make sure you read all of the stickies at the top of the forum so that you know where to find us all.

G'day and welcome to TOG.

As JR above has touched on mate, you'll need to verify the AUP & FAQ bit.

OK mate, just saw your other thread. You could have edited this one or even post up a confirmation post, the Admins will look after it now.

Once you've done that, the Admins will look after your membership. When that's granted, head on off to the CSS forum The Chateau. You'll find all the info you need to get going with our looney mob. We use Ventrillo for voice comms and that plus the server details are in the New Members Sticky.

Any probs/queries, just PM me.
