Membership Application - Kestrel
Hello, I'm Kestrel,
I take my name from a book read in year 9 called "The Freedom Fighters" about Italian partisans from WWII. They used bird names as aliases in order to limit the amount of info that the Germans could gain via interrogation. My first gaming machine was a PC that loaded its games from cassette tape, but a real appreciation for gaming didn't kick in until I received a NES for my 7th birthday. I'm currently enjoining BF3, and am hoping to join Midn1ght74 and the Hellions in the GA and CG ladders. That's my main reason for signing up, but I've always appreciated TOG servers over the years in a number of games, so it would be nice to join you guys. I'm from Newcsatle NSW, I'm a software engineer, and I really don't mind long walks on the beach. I'm one of the creators of the (now haitus'd) Wasd of Oz podcast, a podcast by some Newcastle gamers, talking randomly about games and exposing their ignorance. If you're a fan of awesome podcasts like Idle Thumbs, and you're also a huge fan of Eastern Bloc versions of popular things, you might find our podcast bearable.
