Hello TOG,

I am a super nerd disguised as a regular dude. I Got my graduate degree in Computer Science and Computer Forensics in 2002. I worked as a systems security analyst for various enterprises in the US for over 15 years, well not all that time at the analyst level started off as lowly specialist I which is a fancy word for the guy that crawls through ducts and scaffolding to lay cable. However I maintain my 'normal guy' side by not having a ridiculous hive supercomputer in my home, just a couple normal desktops (one specific for gaming) and a portable.

I'm not super into sports however I do love MMA and football. Before I relocated, fight nights were held at my house with food and drinking games afterwards (kinda never left the college bachelor life still). at the age of 32 I started to feel a bit complacent in my life and decided to cash in my career and move to Europe, where most of my family is from. I now live in the North-Western part of Spain known as Galicia, probably most famous for the city of Santiago de Compostelo. I actually live in the southern region of Galicia near the Atlantic ocean in a town bordering with Portugal. I now run a computer repair and retail shop there (in the Portugal side since they are more tech-inclined). So now I am learning not only to be fluent in two Dialects of spanish (Galego; regional dialect, and Castellano; National or natural dialect) but also Portuguese. Fortunately Portuguese is derived from Galego so its a simple transition.

I digress. My gaming history is typical in that I began with a Comodor and Atari 2600 way back in the day and haven't put the controller down since. I love RPGs and MMOs and regularly play FPS. I used to be very into the RTSs (Age of Empires, C&C, and Starcraft were my vices) but more and more I don't gravitate towards them as much anymore. When I was younger my brother who was a metal head and an avid D&D player introduced me to AD&D but him and his friends were 10 years older than I and my group of friends were not really into it so I diddn't play a whole lot but I did enjoy it. Later I got into a group of friends that played R.I.F.T.S and Shadowrun (which I love the Sci-Fi, post-apoc stuff more than the fantasy) and had a long run with them.

The MMOs I play now are SWTOR (though not a mega Star Wars fan it is like crack for my Sci-Fi love) and still on occasion play Anarchy Online. Prior to SWTOR I just left a 10 month run of RIFT wich I kinda liked but the fantasy setting is just getting stale for me. I love to PvP as much as PvE. Looking forward, I am really anxious and keeping a close eye and working to get beta is a new title from FunCom called The Secret World. Being an avid reader of H.P. Lovecraft and a coneseure (however the crap you spell that) of Illuminati and Templar lore this game feeds right into my wheelhouse and I am super excited for it. My cousins live next to one of the remaining in-tact Templar castles (Ponferrada, Spain) and I get goose bumps in the presence of its historic and occult significance.

Again I digress and in closing, I would like to be considered for TOG because I want to play and be involved with gamers of my kind, Adult gamers. TOG is well known and in browsing your forums initially I found a buddy of mine (Helvis) from a previous guild and he has further reinforced my interest in TOG. I am coming from another well-known adult oriented guild however many of my friends have been spread out-banned-left for the various stringent politics manifesting in that guild. Also it tends to be very clicky and since I now live in Europe and they have almost nil European members its hard to get involved.

I keep odd local hours and do tend to be up till 4-5am my time (which is about prime time for the US) so I can be active in Raiding groups and the like, however weekends I am rarely on, unless late. I work and play at Pubs and Dance clubs on the weekends which keep me out usually until 7or 8am (2-3am EST). sometimes if I'm not beat I will log on for a few hours but it's well past prime time for weekend events.

As you can see I am a man of few words, I am very open minded and optimistic person and have a good sense of humor although very cynical and sarcastic.

Thanks,
-G-
